Vocal Chamber (for pianists and singers)
The Vocal Chamber Program is open to singers as well as pianists and especially in the section Lied and piano-voice repertoire. You can sign up for lessons with exclusively one teacher or for the whole Vocal Chamber Program.
Lied-lessons with Markus Hadulla demans german speaking Lied-Repertoire. Lessons with Raffaele Cortesi and Zhu He consists of international Song as well as operatic Repertoire.
The program offers active participants opportunities to perform in a dedicated art-song concert in the prestigious Mirror Hall of the Noto Palazzo of Municipality, a venue congruent with both intimacy and bourgeois nature of the literature. Individual singers and pianists will be assigned to a work together well in advance and during the festival the duo will work closely with renowned art-song and vocal-chamber faculty.
Previous participants hail from leading conservatories around the world and past alumni include young artists specialized in vocal collaborative arts, top prize winners at both national and international competitions, as well as emerging singers and collaborative pianists who already have an active career.
Beyond Vocal Chamber division, singers and collaborative pianists have possibilities to combine Opera Studies, Choir or Piano programs under consultation of festival committee and faculty.
Due to the complexity of schedules, such combination should always be addressed at the time of application.
The best collaborative pianist of SMF 2026 will be selected upon faculty recommendations to be one of the official accompanists of Luglio Musicale Trapanese (opera festival in Sicily) 2027. The pianist will receive salary, transportation (within Europe) and accommodation during his/her engagement. www.lugliomusicale.it
